Course Name: Predictive Model Development in Nursing Research: Applied Training

Objectıve:
The objective of this course is to provide participants with practical skills in transferring a ready-made dataset to the R environment, performing data cleaning and preprocessing, conducting exploratory data analysis, and developing predictive decision support models by addressing the end-to-end process of developing predictive models in nursing or health sciences research. It also aims to enable participants to gain the competence to evaluate the performance of the developed predictive model and interpret the results in research and clinical decision-making processes.

Targets:

  • To be able to transfer data to the R programming environment and prepare the dataset for analysis,
  • To be able to identify missing data and outliers and apply data cleaning and preprocessing steps,
  • To be able to examine and visualize the basic features of the dataset,
  • To be able to develop basic predictive models by creating training and test datasets,
  • To be able to evaluate model performance and interpret the results in terms of research and clinical decision-making processes.

Target Audıence Of The Course:
This course; This course is aimed at graduate students in nursing and other health sciences fields, academics and researchers, as well as healthcare professionals who want to develop data-driven decision support models in their research.
